The following is a list of the scholarships for the 2019-2020 school year.  ALL forms should be completed by student applicants and returned to the SJCA Admissions Office by  April 2, 2019.

Exceptions:  

  • March 20, 2019 - Catholic Woman's Club of Kenosha DUE TO SJCA by 3/20/2019.
  • March 31, 2019 - Milwaukee Archdiocese of Catholic Women Application MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER than 3/31/2019.

  • April 19, 2019 - St. Mary Catholic Parish Application MUST BE RECEIVED at St. Mary Parish Office by NOON on 4/19/2019.
  • April 22, 2019 - Holy Rosary Parish and Tuition Assistance Applications MUST BE RECEIVED at  Holy Rosary by 4/22/2019.

Scholarships to SJCA

Aldo & Thomasina Madrigrano Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade)

The scholarship will be awarded to:

  • An 8th grade student entering St. Joseph Catholic Academy as a freshman for the upcoming school year
  • A member of Mt. Carmel Church (1st consideration)
  • Student of Italian descent

The purpose of this scholarship is to award a student who has demonstrated academics and/or church and/or community leadership skills.  The scholarship will be awarded each fall term and applied to the tuition of that student.   Click here for the application

Catholic Woman's Club of Kenosha Scholarship

DUE WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 2019

For incoming 9th graders. 

The 2019 Catholic Woman's Club (CWC) Scholarship will be awarded to three 8th grade students who are residents of Kenosha County and will be entering SJCA for 9th grade. Students must excel academically and/or demonstrate outstanding leadership ability in school, church or community.  The scholarships will be for $1000 each.

This year 8th-grade students from All Saints Catholic School, St. Joseph Catholic Academy and Kenosha Unified School District public schools may apply for the CWC Scholarship.  Click here for the application. 

Darrell Viola Memorial Scholarship (Rising Senior)

The Darrell Viola Memorial Scholarship was created to honor St. Joseph High School 1968 alumnus Darrell Viola’s athletic legacy, huge heart and outstanding character.  The $2,500 Darrell Viola Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving SJCA high school rising senior who exemplifies outstanding character and leadership. Ellen Rose Santarelli Memorial Scholarship (Returning Junior - Female)

The Ellen Rose Santarelli Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Ellen’s years of dedication as a teacher and coach at St. Joseph High School.  This scholarship of $2,400 will be awarded annually to a deserving female student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for her junior year.  Click here for the application.

For Pete’s Sake/Peter Francois Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade)

The For Pete’s Sake/Peter Francois Scholarship is a $2000.00 renewable scholarship awarded to students who are entering the 9th grade at SJCA. The student will be from a Catholic parish that has demonstrated a commitment to their school, church and/or community.  Click here for the application.

Friends of the Performing Arts Scholarship (HS Performing Arts Students)

Students entering the 9-12th grades during the 2019-2020 school year, and who are enthusiastic about the performing arts (acting, band, music, etc.), are invited to audition for a FOPA scholarship. Click here for the application.

Jack Baldwin Memorial Scholarship (Returning Junior - Male)

The Jack Baldwin Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Jack's years at St. Joseph High School. This scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to a deserving male student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for his junior year. Click here for the application.

Jacoby Rutkowski Memorial Scholarship (K-5 Students)

The Jacoby Rutkowski Memorial Scholarship is endowed annually by his family to provide financial aid to K-5 SJCA students.  The family of Jacoby (Jake) Richard Rutkowski recognizes the value of Catholic education and wishes to extend a minimum of one annual scholarship for deserving students to attend St. Joseph Catholic Academy.  Click here for the application.

Kenosha Navy Club Ship 40 Scholarship (Current 9th or 10th Grade)

The Kenosha Navy Club Ship 40 scholarship application is open to current SJCA freshman and sophomores who registered to attend SJCA for the 2019-20 school year.  Three scholarships will be awarded for a total of $1000: 1st place: $500, 2nd place: $300, 3rd place: $200. Kozak Orthodontics Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade)

This scholarship is for 8th grade graduating students who will be registered to attend SJCA for their freshman year. The Kozak Orthodontics Scholarship will award up to two (2) $500 scholarships.  The money will be applied toward the winner’s tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy. Marilyn Pignotti Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade)

The Marilyn Pignotti Scholarship is to be awarded to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in academics, church and/or community.  This scholarship is for 8th grade graduating students who will be registered to attend SJCA for their freshman year. The Pignotti Scholarship will award up to two (2) $500 scholarships.  Click here for the application. 

Michael J. Naidicz Foundation Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade)

The Michael J. Naidicz Foundation, Ltd, was created to support continued Catholic education at St. Joseph Catholic Academy and to provide scholarships to worthy students.  Each year the foundation will award one to three scholarships to incoming 9th-grade students.  The scholarship(s) award by the Foundation is for one year, renewable for three additional years while the recipient attends the high school program at St. Joseph Catholic Academy. Milwaukee Arch Council of Catholic Women (Incoming Female 9th Grade) Application MUST be postmarked no later than March 31, 2019

Current eighth-grade girls entering a Catholic high school in the Milwaukee Archdiocese for the fall of 2019 are invited to apply for the John and Kathleen Schneider Family Foundation $1,000 scholarship.  The application MUST be postmarked no later than March 31, 2019, in order to be considered for the scholarship.   Click here for the application.

Robert & Anne Roders Memorial Music Scholarship (Rising Senior)

The Robert and Anne Roders Memorial Scholarship recognizes a current SJCA high school student who has displayed outstanding talent in band, orchestra or musicianship. This scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to a deserving student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for his/her senior year. The money will be applied directly toward the recipient’s SJCA high school tuition. Click here for the application. 

Sister Gertrude Wissing Memorial Scholarship (Incoming MS Student)
The Sister Gertrude Wissing Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of Sister Gertrude for the many years of servitude she gave to St. Mark Catholic School and St. Joseph High School as an educator and administrator.   This scholarship will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership ability in school, church, community or extracurricular activities.  The Sister Gertrude Scholarship Memorial Scholarship fund will award up to three (3) $500 scholarships annually:  one for an incoming 6th grader, 7th grader, and 8th grader.  The money will be applied to the student’s tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.  Click here for the application. 
Sister Sylvia Middle School Scholarship

As a long-time, wholly dedicated member of the St. Joseph community, tirelessly committed to Catholic education and faith-formation, Sr. Sylvia Leonardi not only represents the heritage of SJCA but also embodies the essence of Catholic education. SJCA is pleased to honor Sr. Sylvia with this scholarship in her name.

Based on family income, the Sr. Sylvia Middle School Scholarship allows qualifying families to pay the current SJCA elementary school tuition rate for their Middle School years.  We encourage all families who may qualify to apply for this scholarship.  Click here for the scholarship.

Sister Virginia Handrup Scholarship (Incoming Junior - Female)

The Sister Virginia Handrup Scholarship was created by an anonymous donor to honor the enormous contribution that Sister Virginia has made to St. Joseph High School/SJCA over the years. This scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded annually to a deserving female student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for her junior year. The scholarship is for one year but may be renewable for the recipient’s senior year. Click here for the application. 

St. Joseph Alumni Association Scholarship (New or Returning SJCA Students)

Eligibility:  New or returning SJCA student

The St Joseph Alumni Association Scholarship is given to students who will be or are attending St. Joseph Catholic Academy.  The Alumni Association will fund four $750 scholarships per year.  Click here for the application.

St. Mark Parish Scholarship (Parish Member)

St. Mark Parish recognizes the value of Catholic education and wishes to extend five annual scholarships totaling $5,000 for deserving students from the Parish to attend St. Joseph Catholic Academy. These five scholarships will be dispersed as follows: 

  • One $2,000 Scholarship for a  SJCA High School student (Grades 9-12)
  • One $1,500 Scholarship for a  SJCA Middle School Student (Grades 6-8)
  • Three $500 Scholarships for SJCA Lower School Students (Grades K-5)

St. Mary Catholic Parish Scholarship (Incoming 9th Grade Student)

St. Mary Parish will be offering two scholarships in 2019 to support worthy students' Catholic education at SJCA High School.  The Parish will award one $500 scholarship to each of the selected incoming 9th-grade students. This is a one-time payment made directly to the school for tuition on behalf of the student. Click here for the application.
