A Solid Foundation for Future Learning and Academic Success
The elementary curriculum emphasizes reading, writing, math, social studies, science and religion, and is carefully designed in a sequential manner to maximize academic outcomes. Likewise, Classes in Spanish, art, music and gym complement the elementary school curriculum. While building a strong academic foundation is paramount in elementary school, SJCA also nurtures a robust moral foundation in every student.

Growing in Faith and Learning
Reading & Writing
Our teachers focus heavily on developing reading skills in both fluency and comprehension. Those strong reading skills are then honed as students not only “learn to read” but “read to learn.”
Technology
Our technology program includes classroom laptops, iPads, interactive SMARTboards, and 1-to-1 Chromebooks for K – 5th graders, preparing them for middle school. Students are also eligible to participate in Coding Club starting in Kindergarten.
Math
Math facts and concepts are taught in many different ways to meet the needs of all types of learners.
Social Studies
At St. Joseph Catholic Academy, we are proud to offer a comprehensive social studies program for our elementary school students. Our curriculum is designed to help students explore history, geography, and culture in a way that is fun and engaging.
Science
SJCA's science curriculum is innovative and hands-on, teaching children how to think like scientists. Students will learn to better understand and communicate about the world around them through writing, discussion, and exploration.
Religion
Our teachers act as models of faith, with daily prayer, reflection and weekly Mass as an integral part of the elementary school day.
