Scholarships
At St. Joseph Catholic Academy, we believe that every student has the potential to achieve great things. We are proud to offer scholarships and opportunities to help our elementary through high school students reach their full potential. With the support of our generous donors and supporters, we are able to provide financial aid to families who need it most. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will open January 2024.
Theresa Crewe Memorial Scholarship
Theresa Crewe was a long time supporter of St. Joseph High School. Her six children and many extended family members attended SJHS and her husband, the late Dr. David O. Crewe served on the SJHS Board of Directors. Theresa was proud of her hometown community of Kenosha and was passionate about serving our community. Theresa, affectionately called Tree by family and friends, and was also known for her faith and unwavering kindness. We are honored to grant this scholarship in her honor.
Kozak Orthodontics Scholarship
Dr. Bryon Kozak’s interest and commitment to education sparked the idea for this essay contest as a way to encourage literacy among area youth. He appreciates a love of reading, writing and critical thinking. He is very proud to be a part of the SJCA family. Scholarship money will be applied to the winner’s tuition. This scholarship is for 8th grade graduating students who will be registered to attend SJCA for their freshman year. The Kozak Orthodontics Scholarship will award up to two (2) $500 scholarships.
Frank A. Matrise Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Frank Matrise, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was created to honor St. Joseph Alumni, Parent and Coach Frank A. Matrise, Jr. ‘s years of dedication and support of SJCA. This scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to one male and one female who are returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for their sophomore, junior or senior year.
Michael Naidicz Scholarship
The Michael J. Naidicz Foundation, Ltd, was created to support continued Catholic education at St. Joseph Catholic Academy and to provide scholarships to worthy students. Each year the foundation will award one to three scholarships to incoming 9th grade students. The scholarship(s) awarded by the Foundation is for one year, renewable for three additional years while the recipient attends the high school program at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
Bristol Oaks Scholarship
The Bristol Oaks Golf Club and Banquet Hall Scholarship was established to recognize a student with strong academics and a commitment to community service. The Scholarship will award one $1,000 Scholarship for the 2022-2023 school year to be applied toward the winner’s tuition.
The Jesse Kolmos Memorial Scholarship
The Jesse Kolmos Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Jesse Kolmos, a lifelong resident and business owner in Kenosha. He loved baseball at all levels and was part of an ownership group that brought the Kenosha Twins, a minor league affiliate of the Minnesota Twins to Kenosha in the 1980’s.
The recipient of this scholarship will receive $7,000 and the award will be credited to their 22-23 tuition invoice. If the recipient is a junior, the award will be renewed for their senior year.
Marilyn Pignotti Scholarship
The Marilyn Pignotti Scholarship is to be awarded to a student who has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in academics, church and/or community. This scholarship is for 8th grade graduating students who will be registered to attend SJCA for their freshman year. The Pignotti Scholarship will award up to two (2) $500 scholarships. The money will be applied towards the winner’s tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
Jack Baldwin Memorial Scholarship
The Jack Baldwin Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Jack’s years at St. Joseph High School. This scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to a deserving male student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for his junior year. The money will be applied towards the winner’s high school tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
Jacoby Rutkowski Memorial Scholarship
The Jacoby Rutkowski Memorial Scholarship is endowed annually by his family to provide financial aid to K-8th Grade SJCA students. The family of Jacoby (Jake) Richard Rutkowski recognizes the value of a Catholic education and wishes to extend a minimum of one annual scholarship for deserving students to attend St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
St. Joseph Alumni Association Scholarship
The St Joseph Alumni Association Scholarships are given to students in grades 9-12 who will be or are attending SJCA. The Alumni Association will fund two $1000 scholarships. One of the scholarships will be awarded to a relative of a St. Joseph Alumnus. The money will be applied to the student’s tuition at SJCA
Jerome J. and Mary L. Brault Memorial Endowed Scholarship
In support of Catholic education, the Jerome J. Brault and Mary L. Brault Memorial Endowed Scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded annually to two deserving students enrolled at St. Joseph Catholic Academy entering their junior or senior year. The money will be applied towards the winner’s high school tuition and is renewable.
Roders Memorial Scholarship
The Robert and Anne Roders Memorial Scholarship recognizes a current SJCA high school student who has displayed outstanding talent in band, orchestra or musicianship and/or science. This scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded annually to a deserving student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for his/her senior year. The money will be applied directly toward the recipient’s SJCA high school tuition.
Ellen Rose Santarelli Memorial Scholarship
The Ellen Rose Santarelli Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Ellen’s years of dedication as a teacher and coach at St. Joseph High School. This scholarship of $2,400 will be awarded annually to a deserving female student who is returning to St. Joseph Catholic Academy for her junior year. The money will be applied towards the winner’s high school tuition at St. Joseph Catholic Academy.
