National Honor Society

The National Honor Society at St. Joseph Catholic Academy recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character at the high school level. Our members strive to make a positive difference in our school, parish, and community while living out the values of our Catholic faith.

Scholarship

Pursuing academic excellence through dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to lifelong learning. A minimum of a 3.5 GPA is required for admission and must be maintained. Consideration for membership occurs during spring of sophomore year or junior year.

Service

Giving our time and talents generously to support others and strengthen our community. NHS members must complete 30 hours of service per school year and can include the hours required by their Theology class. Service hours can be performed in the summer going into a new school year, as long as they occurred after June 4, 2026.

Character

Living with honesty, integrity, compassion, respect, and accountability in accordance with our Catholic faith and Lancer Values as seen through interactions with fellow students, staff members and community.

Through these four pillars, our National Honor Society members strive to lead with purpose, serve with compassion, and live with integrity.
