2025-2026 First Semester Honor Roll
The first part of the year has come and gone, and we are elated to announce the outstanding academic achievements of our SJCA High School and Middle School* students.
Lancers earning First Honors have achieved a GPA of 3.50 or higher, while those with a GPA between 3.00 and 3.49 have earned Second Honors. High School honors are awarded on a semester basis, while Middle School honors are awarded quarterly.
Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to academic excellence in earning this distinguished recognition!
*Our 6th grade curriculum utilizes Standards-Based Grading; therefore, GPA is not assessed.
What stands out to me is that the school is recognizing consistency rather than treating academic success as a single achievement. Over the years, I have seen how small milestones, whether a strong semester GPA or simply moving up from one grading period to the next, can give students a reason to stay disciplined. Even checking what day is today can sometimes put the week into perspective when students are balancing classes, assignments, and everything else that comes with school life.
Siempre me ha parecido que los buenos resultados académicos no se consiguen únicamente estudiando más, sino aprendiendo a ser constante durante todo el semestre. La diferencia entre un 3,49 y un 3,50 puede parecer mínima, pero detrás de esas décimas suele haber muchas tardes de estudio, organización y pequeños hábitos mantenidos durante meses. Incluso para las familias, llevar un seguimiento de calificaciones y promedios puede ser útil, y herramientas como la calculadora de Alicia pueden servir para comprobar algunos cálculos de forma sencilla. Lo más valioso, sin embargo, es que estos reconocimientos muestran a los estudiantes que la disciplina diaria termina dando frutos.
