Lights, camera, action! Homecoming is almost here, and this year's theme, LIGHTS! CAMERA! HOCO!, is bringing a full week of spirit, tradition, and Lancer pride. Get ready for Powderpuff football, our Homecoming parade, soccer and football under the Friday night lights, the long-awaited Homecoming Dance, and the return of our Alumni Tailgate! A big thank you to all our volunteers, our Parent Association, and Athletic Association for their support. Click each header below for all the details on Homecoming week, September 28th through October 2nd!



IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Any parent wishing to participate in any school-sanctioned Homecoming events MUST have completed the Safeguarding process through the Milwaukee Archdiocese.

  • All students must have a signed permission slip turned into the Main Office to attend any Homecoming event(s). One permission slip will cover all events for the week.

  • On Friday, October 2nd there will be an EARLY RELEASE:

    • LOWER CAMPUS: 12:00 PM DISMISSAL

    • UPPER CAMPUS: 2:30 PM DISMISSAL

Monday, 9/28 – Hall Decorating Contest 

  • Dress: Pajama Day! Comfy and cozy, think character onesies, matching flannel sets, or an oversized tee with fuzzy socks and slip-ons (no slippers, please).

Tuesday, 9/29 – Powderpuff Football, 6:30 pm at Ameche Field 

  • Dress: Rio (Beach Day)! Bright Hawaiian shirts, leis, and sunglasses, or an all-blue/teal look inspired by Blu and Jewel.

Wednesday, 9/30 – Homecoming Mass 

  • Dress: Uniform Day

Thursday, 10/1 – Boys Volleyball 

  • Dress: Cinema Day! Each class brings a different studio to life:

    • Seniors: Pixar

    • Juniors: Disney

    • Sophomores: Marvel

    • Freshmen: Illumination

Friday, 10/2 – Pep Rally, Early Release, Parade, Soccer/Football Games Dress:

  • Inside Out Day! Wear your favorite bright, bold colors.

Monday, 9/28 - Fun Run/Color Run at Lincoln Park

  • Dress: Spirit wear top, athletic bottoms.

  • Activity:

Tuesday, 9/29 –

  • Dress: Spirit wear top, athletic bottoms.

  • Activity: Dodgeball Tournament, tennis courts.

Wednesday, 9/30 – Mass. Dress: Uniform.

Thursday, 10/1 – Dress: Spirit wear top, athletic bottoms. Activity: Watch the High School Volleyball game in the gym with your grade level.

Friday, 10/2 – Dress: Spirit wear top, athletic bottoms. Activity: Pep Assembly, Parade, Carnival, Soccer, Football.

Monday - Fun Run

  • Dress: Spirit wear, athletic bottoms.

Thursday 10/2 - Pep Assembly

  • Dress Code: spiritwear and any bottoms

Friday 10/3 - 2:00 pm dismissal

  • Dress Code: Dress: Homecoming t-shirt (provided by the Parent Association)


Students, it's time to get creative with your class floats for the parade! Here’s the float-building schedule for each class. This is a family led initative. Students will need to reach out to the class contact to get further information. Build dates and times coming soon, check back for the full schedule.

Our Powderpuff tradition is back! More on this year's matchups and format coming soon. Please note: as with any SJCA sporting event, Lower Campus and Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Spirtwear will be avaiable for sale at the games, cash and credit card will be accepted on site.

Parade:

We'll kick off Homecoming weekend with an early dismissal on Friday (12:00 pm Lower Campus / 2:30 pm Upper Campus)! The parade will leave the Upper Campus, heading down 22nd Avenue to Lincoln Road, to 26th Avenue, on to Ameche. Expect candy, school spirit, and plenty of floats designed by our High School Lancers!

Please note: our littlest Lancers attending the parade, please stay on the grass for the duration of the parade. Float riders will throw candy to your location. Please DO NOT come into the road to pick up pieces that fell short until ALL cars have passed and the parade has concluded.


Between games, families and attendees of all ages can enjoy the free carnival with plenty of fun activities:


  • Dunk tank

  • Face painting

  • Temporary tattoos

  • Football throwing and field goal contests

  • And more exciting games for everyone!

Immediately after the parade, join us under the Friday Night Lancer Lights:

  • 4:00 pm – Varsity Soccer vs. Racine Case, Ameche Field

  • Time TBD – Varsity Football vs. opponent coming soon

Please note: As with any SJCA sporting event, any and all Lower Campus and/or Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

"Big Blue" will be stocked with classic favorites, including hot dogs, brats, (FILL IN)

All alumni are invited to join the Alumni Tailgate starting at 4:00 pm. Big blue will be ready with food at half time of the soccer game and continuing through the end of the football game!

  • Free food provided by the Athletic Association! (NEED TO CONFIRM)

  • Don’t forget to wear your blue and gold to show your Lancer pride.

The Homecoming Dance will take place Saturday, October 3rd, from 7:30–10:00 pm (venue TBD, 2025 was the SJCA cafeteria).


  • Tickets: $12 each, sold September 30 through October 2nd (sale hours/location TBD).

  • Students bringing a guest from another school need a guest form, available in the front office (deadline and sign-off TBD).

NHS is sponsoring a collection drive to keep service of others rooted in our homecoming celebrations. Please see each the different grade levels accepting donations with an added incentive to participate.

High School

St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is in most need of soup, peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, rice, and pasta but will happily take any nonperishable food items for every 10 items, per grade level a spirit point will be awarded. 

St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry would like personal care products, especially toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner. 6th, 7th, or 8th, the grade level with the most donations will receive a recess during advisory.

The SJCA Parent Association is asking for candy donations for the parade on October 3rd. The classroom with greatest collection will receive a free dress day.
