Lights, camera, action! Homecoming is almost here, and this year's theme, LIGHTS! CAMERA! HOCO!, is bringing a full week of spirit, tradition, and Lancer pride. Get ready for Powderpuff football, our Homecoming parade, carnival, soccer and football under the Friday night lights, the alumni tailgate, and the long-awaited Homecoming Dance! A big thank you to all our volunteers, our Parent Association, and Athletic Association for their support. Click each header below for all the details on Homecoming week, September 28th through October 2nd!



IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Any parent wishing to participate in any school-sanctioned Homecoming events MUST have completed the Safeguarding process through the Milwaukee Archdiocese.

  • All students must have a signed permission slip for any and all Homecoming event(s). One permission slip will cover the whole week. Click here to sign - due Friday, September 18th, 2026!

  • On Friday, October 2nd there will be an EARLY RELEASE:

    • LOWER CAMPUS: 12:00 PM DISMISSAL

    • UPPER CAMPUS: 2:30 PM DISMISSAL

Monday, 9/28 – Hall Decorating Contest 

  • Dress: Pajama Day! Comfy and cozy, think character onesies, matching flannel sets, or an oversized tee with fuzzy socks and slip-ons (no slippers, please).

Tuesday, 9/29 – Dodgeball Tournament

  • Dress: Rio (Beach Day)! Bright Hawaiian shirts, leis, and sunglasses, or an all-blue/teal look inspired by Blu and Jewel.

  • Powderpuff Football, 6:30 pm at Ameche Field 

Wednesday, 9/30 – College Day and Mass 

  • Dress: College or university top with uniform bottoms

Thursday, 10/1 – Boys Volleyball 

  • Dress: Cinema Day! Each class brings a different studio to life:

    • Seniors: Pixar

    • Juniors: Disney

    • Sophomores: Marvel

    • Freshmen: Illumination

Friday, 10/2 – Pep Rally, Early Release, Parade, Soccer/Football Games Dress:

  • Inside Out Day! Wear your class color:

    • Seniors: Green

    • Juniors: Red

    • Sophomores: Blue

    • Freshmen: Yellow



Monday, 9/28

  • Dress: Spiritwear top, athletic or uniform bottoms (Students should bring an old white shirt and shoes they are comfortable with potential color staining.)

  • Activity: Color Run at Lincoln Park followed by field day acitvities sponsored by the Parent Association.

Tuesday, 9/29

  • Dress: Spiritwear top, athletic or uniform bottoms

  • Activity: Dodgeball tournament, sign painting, and Rosary reading

Wednesday, 9/30 – Mass

  • Dress: Spiritwear with uniform bottoms

Thursday, 10/1

  • Dress: Spirit wear top, athletic or uniform bottoms

  • Activity: Watch the High School Volleyball game

Friday, 10/2

  • Dress: Parent Association provided spiritwear top, athletic or uniform bottoms.

  • Activity: Pep Assembly, Parade, Carnival, Soccer, Football.

Monday 9/28 - Fun Run

  • Dress: Spirit wear, athletic bottoms.

Tuesday 9/29 - Picture Day!

  • Dress: Wear your uniform best and be sure to bring your camera smile!

Wednesday 9/30 - Mass

  • Dress: Favorite color day. Wear your favorite color top and uniform bottoms.

Thursday 10/1 - Pep Assembly

  • Dress Code: spiritwear and any bottoms

Friday 10/2 - 12:00 pm dismissal

  • Dress Code: Dress: Parent Association provided spiritwear top with any bottoms.

Students, it's time to get creative with your class floats for the parade! Here’s the float-building schedule for each class. This is a family led initative. Students will need to reach out to the class contact to get further information. Build dates and times coming soon, check back for the full schedule.

Please note: this is a family-hosted HIGH SCHOOL ONLY event, not facilitated by SJCA.

Our Powderpuff tradition is for year 2 and going the whole nine yards with a Lancer Family Tailgate at 6:00 PM with a free hot dog, chips and water to all sjca middle and high school students courtesy of the SJCA Athletic Association.


6:30PM Kick Off


Game 1:  seniors vs freshmen

Game 2:  juniors vs sophomores

Game 3:  championship game (winner from game 1 and 2)


Each game will be 20 minutes long with a 5 minute break in-between


No entrance fee.


Please note: as with any SJCA sporting event, Lower Campus and Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.


Spirtwear will be available for sale at the games, cash and credit card will be accepted on site.

Parade:

We'll kick off Homecoming weekend with an early dismissal on Friday (12:00 pm Lower Campus / 2:30 pm Upper Campus)! At approx. 3:00 PM, the parade will leave the Upper Campus, heading down 22nd Avenue to Lincoln Road, to 26th Avenue, on to Ameche. Expect candy, school spirit, and plenty of floats designed by our High School Lancers!


Parents, for everyone's safety, please have your Lancers stay on the grass to catch candy, not in the road.


Please note: our littlest Lancers attending the parade, please stay on the grass for the duration of the parade. Float riders will throw candy to your location. Please DO NOT come into the road to pick up pieces that fell short until ALL cars have passed and the parade has concluded.


From 5:00-7:00 PM families and attendees of all ages can enjoy the carnival with plenty of free fun activities:


  • Dunk tank - Come dunk your favorite teacher!

  • Face painting

  • Temporary tattoos

  • Football throwing and field goal contests

  • And more exciting games for everyone!

Immediately after the parade, join us under the Friday Night Lancer Lights at Ameche Field:

  • 4:00 pm – Varsity Soccer vs. Racine Case

  • 7:00 pm – Varsity Football vs. Pius

Please note: As with any SJCA sporting event, any and all Lower Campus and/or Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

"Big Blue" will be stocked with classic favorites, including hot dogs, brats, and burgers!

All alumni are invited to join the Alumni Tailgate starting at 4:00 pm. Big Blue will be ready with food at half time of the soccer game and continuing through the end of the football game!

  • Free food provided by the Athletic Association!

  • Don’t forget to wear your blue and gold to show your Lancer pride.

The Homecoming Dance will take place Saturday, October 3rd, from 7:30–10:00 pm in the UC Cafeteria.


  • Tickets: $12 each, sold September 30 through October 2nd during lunch.

  • Students bringing a guest from another school need a guest form, available in the front office.


The Homecoming Court will be announced after Mass on Wednesday, September 23rd. King and Queen will be crowned during the pep assembly on Friday, October 2nd.

  • The SJCA Parent Association is asking for donations to support our HoCo efforts.

    • Candy is being collected to support the parade. Please turn in to your campus main office. The LOWER CAMPUS classroom with greatest collection will receive a free dress day.

There is going to be an Alumni tent with photos, Alumni Spiritwear, and yearbooks. Can that be added to the above?
