GlowCo 2025: September 29th - October 4th

We’re glowing with excitement for Homecoming here at SJCA! This year’s GlowCo will be full of fun and festivities planned for students, alumni, and our entire Lancer community. Prepare for a week of spirit, tradition, a brand-new Powderpuff event, parade, soccer and football games, the long-awaited Homecoming Dance, and even a new Alumni Mass and Tailgate! A big thank you to all the volunteers, Parent Association, and Athletic Association for their donations and support! Click each GloCo header below for specific details:



IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Any parent wishing to participate in any school sanctioned homecoming events MUST have completed the Safeguarding process through the Milwaukee Archdioceses.

  • All students must have a signed permission slip turned into the Main Office to attend any Homecoming event(s). One permission slip will cover all events for the week.

  • On Friday, October 3rd there will be an EARLY RELEASE:

    • LOWER CAMPUS: 2:00 PM DISMISSAL

    • UPPER CAMPUS: 2:15 PM DISMISSAL

High School Homecoming Dress-Up, Activities, and Theme:

Dress and Activity Schedule:

Monday, 9/29 - Advisory Kickoff

  • Dress: USA Day! Red, White & Blue tops with any appropriate bottoms. (No leggings, rips, tears, shorts must be longer than 4" above the top of the knee)

Tuesday, 9/30 - Dodgeball and Powderpuff

  • Dress: Spirit Wear tops with appropriate bottoms

Wednesday, 10/1 - Homecoming Mass

  • Dress: Sports Jersey Day with jeans or uniform bottoms

Thursday, 10/2 - Boys Volleyball

  • Dress: Flannel or polos with appropriate bottoms

Friday, 10/3 - Pep Rally, 2:15 pm dismissal, Parade, Soccer/Football Games

Powderpuff Football Game: Tuesday, September 30th - 6:30 pm

NEW TRADITION IN THE MAKING! We are thrilled to annouce our girls powderpuff games will now be held under the Ameche lights. Come watch the seniors play the freshman, the juniors take on the sophomores, and the winners of each face off in the championship match! No cost to attend, Big Blue will be on sight for concession sales.

Please note: As with any SJCA sporting event, any and all Lower Campus and/or Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Parade, Carnival & Lancer Lights:

Parade:

We’ll kick off the Homecoming weekend with an exciting early dismissal at 2:00/2:15 pm! The parade will leave the Upper Campus at 3:00 pm, heading down 22nd Avenue to Lincoln Road, to 26th Avenue on to Ameche. Expect candy, school spirit, and plenty of floats designed by our High School Lancers!

Please note: Our littlest Lancers attending the parade, please stay on the grass for the duration of the parade. Float riders will throw candy to your location. Please DO NOT come into the road to pick up pieces that fell short until ALL cars have passed and the parade has concluded.

Carnival:

Between games, families and attendees of all ages can enjoy the free carnival with plenty of fun activities:


  • Dunk tank

  • Face painting

  • Temporary tattoos

  • Football throwing and field goal contests

  • And more exciting games for everyone!

Soccer and Football Games:

Immediately after the parade, join us under the Friday Night Lancer Lights:


  • 4:00 pm – Varsity Soccer vs. Milwaukee Audubon

    • Free dessert for SJCA student

  • 7:00 pm – Varsity Football vs. South Milwaukee

    • Dress: Blue Out

Please note: As with any SJCA sporting event, any and all Lower Campus and/or Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Concessions:

"Big Blue" will be stocked with classic favorites, including homemade Italian meatball bombers brought to our Lancer community by the Infusino family!

Alumni Tailgate:

All alumni are invited to join the Alumni Tailgate starting at 4:00 pm. Big blue will be ready with food at half time of the soccer game and continuing through the end of the football game!

  • Free food provided by the Athletic Association!

  • Don’t forget to wear your blue and gold to show your Lancer pride.

Homecoming Dance and Court Announcements:

The Homecoming dance, which will take place on Saturday, October 4th, from 7:30-10:00 pm in the SJCA School Cafeteria.


  • Tickets will be sold from Monday, September 29 through Friday, October 3rd during lunch.

  • Students wishing to bring a guest from another school must complete the guest form available in the office, signed by the guest's principal and Mrs. Bartholomew. Completed forms must be submitted to purchase a ticket and require purchased by Wednesday, October 1st at the latest.


Court will be announced after Mass on Thursday, September 25th. Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at the Pep Rally on Friday, October 3rd.

Campaign Gathering: Saturday, October 4th - 11:00 am

Families, alumni, and supporters invited to a special gathering as we share more on our Faith to Grow campaign. This is more than a building project; it’s a blueprint for a stronger academy to support Faith, Academics, Infrastructure, Technology and the Hands who bring our mission to life.

11:45 am – Big Blue Tailgate near the practice field

Homecoming Collection Drive

NHS is sponsoring a collection drive to keep service of others rooted in our homecoming celebrations. Please see each the different grade levels accepting donations with an added incentive to participate.

High School

St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry is in most need of soup, peanut butter, jelly, granola bars, rice, and pasta but will happily take any nonperishable food items for every 10 items, per grade level a spirit point will be awarded. 

Middle School

St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry would like personal care products, especially toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner. 6th, 7th, or 8th, the grade level with the most donations will receive a recess during advisory.

Lower Campus

The SJCA Parent Association is asking for candy donations for the parade on October 3rd. The classroom with greatest collection will receive a free dress day.
